Sludge drying reed beds for wastewater treatment plant Wadi Hassan, Jordan

Commissioned by GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) we finished a design for a sewage sludge drying reed bed plant with a capacity of 50 m³ per day of sewage sludge for the wastewater treatment plant Wadi Hassan in Jordan.

This concept is right now in the tendering phase (four basins with 1000 m² net drying area, i.e. without dams and pathways). This so called ACC-project for the design and implementation of sludge treatment infrastructure is within the context of 'Decentralized Wastewater Management for Adaptation to Climate Change' sponsored by the German federal government.
